Rehan Gul, FRCS (Tr & Orth), is a fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee replacement and sports surgery, employing the most current treatments to alleviate pain and restore his patients to an active lifestyle.
Mr. Gul is practicing as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in the Cork region for the last six years. His extensive orthopaedic expertise focuses on the evidence-based medicine and technical advances in surgery.
His practice focuses on primary and revision hip and knee replacement. He is skilled in advanced techniques in managing complications of failed or painful hip and knee replacements. Although he has a specialty interest in total joint replacements, he also provides surgical treatment for fractures, sports related injuries around knee, foot and ankle surgery.
Mr. Gul completed his fellowship in Joint replacement and Sports Surgery at the world-renowned SPORTSMED SA in Adelaide, Australia. During his fellowship, he mastered the techniques in hip- and knee-replacement surgery, partial-knee replacement, complex revision procedures for hip and knee replacement and sports surgery.
Graduating with honours in 1996, Mr. Gul went on to complete his orthopaedic training at the Irish Higher Surgical Training program in 2006. During his tenure, Mr. Gul gained a vast experience of orthopaedic and trauma surgery while working at renowned orthopaedic units around Ireland. He published multiple articles in peer reviewed orthopaedic journals and has presented his research regionally, nationally and internationally.
Mr. Gul is on Specialist Register with Medical Council in Ireland with operating credentials at Cork University Hospital and South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital.
